Parade of Life

It had been ages since we'd gone to a parade, and never one quite this big. Almost as much fun as watching the floats, clowns, and ponies was watching all of the people around us. There were many small children; great cheers went up when Nemo, Barney, and Santa Claus passed by. Do you remember attending parades when you were a child?

I remember going to parades. My dad is ex-military, and I'm sure they had parades on base for one occassion or another. I remember some at Disney World, and one in particular in Tampa Florida - Gasparilla (sp?) - which is Florida's version of Mardi Gras.

But I definitely remember the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - we watched it on TV every year. Not anymore, though. It's not what it use to be.

I liked parades a lot more as a child than I do now. It's fun that you got to go to this one!
