Red and Aqua Swap

I couldn't resist signing up for the red and aqua swap a month or so ago at Apron Thrift Girl. It was my first big swap, and I was excited to participate in it. I was paired with the delightful Kathy, who sent such a wonderful package that I felt as though Christmas had arrived early. Fat quarters, pretty buttons, a lovely mug and tea, yummy chocolate, vintage notions, a vintage hanky, a cute tin with mini-cards, and a gorgeous bottle that she decorated herself. Anyone who knows me know that all of these thing are right up my alley! These lovelies are now being situated in corners around my home. Kathy, thank you for such a fun swap!

I opened up this post and I thought I was going crazy! I just used that exact aqua trim (same brand, same 15cents even!) on a blanket for Bella. It was in one of my grandma's old sewing drawers. Haha, the plastic was so old and crinkly that I had to toss it out, but the trim worked like a charm.

What a sweet post, I am so happy that you liked the things I sent. I had fun making the bottle for you, I am making a few for gifts and loving the way they are turning out. It was such a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to keeping up with your blog. I am going to try to post about our swap tomorrow then I will be offline for awhile as I recover from my surgery on Wednesday. Thank you again for all of the beautiful and fun things you sent to me, I love them all!
Hugs,
Kathy

I love the colors on that hanky! I'm looking for fabric right now for curtains in our living room. Vintage that will go with our red couch. Any ideas?
